Belated Sister's visit post

I realized that I never posted anything about Kaleena's visit! I have so many pictures I want to share, but I'll just put a few panoramics up. (You know I'm all about the panoramics:-) Kaleena and Justin were here from the 8th to the 14th. We went to 3 baseball games (she is a huge fan) and explored Baltimore and DC. It was a jam-packed visit!

More insulation fun

Thursday I worked with Insulation again. This time we were finishing up the inside of the residence building. The weather was gorgeous that day!
Lately for the lunchtime experiences they have been interviewing various people that work often on site. They interviewed me this time! I was nervous, but it was brief, and a privilege:-)
I also took some random photos of busy people working. There was a lot of activity going on!

Sparks Flying

Wednesday I worked in Metal studs. I was cutting most of the morning- SO fun! Britney, Kellyn, Brooke and I were feeling quite silly that day. Our overseer (and Brooke's husband) Dave Bender had to put up with us:-) I think we were just super happy to be working inside the assembly hall instead of outside in the rain! It was POURING. Even with our sillyness, we made sure to be safe! Thus our leather gloves photo;-)

Insulation and crazy suits

Today I worked on the insulation crew at CRAH. It was actually really fun, but boy did we have to wear a lot of gear! First we baby powdered our necks (Mark said it closes our pores, but I think he just thought we smelled bad. heehee j/k) Then we put on our protective blue suits. Then we put on masks. Then we put on goggles. Then we put on special gloves. Any time I would walk by someone today they would call our outfits a fun new name. Some of them: Nurse uniformes, doctor uniforms, astronaut outfits, pajamas, etc. I personally like to call them space gear. You know I moonwalked across the site! Of course, how could I not? Anna was my main working buddy today, but we had a lot of fun working side by side with a lot of sisters and brothers. I am surprisingly not THAT itchy... a little, but not a lot. Wow, that space gear really does it's job!
Oh and I also included a pic of the cherry blossoms blooming on the same street- aren't they pretty?

Yeah... Studs.

Can you tell I am running out of creative blog post title ideas? Haha. Anyway... On monday and wednesday I worked with Metal studs. We are working on the inside of the building. It is amazing how fast the inside is changing! Al was my working buddy for the day. The only thing I have to say about the picture... man, I really need a tan!

The Longest Sunday

Sorry I am so late to post you guys... I have just been crazy busy. Man, I am so behind on blog updates! Anyway... On Sunday I worked at Crownsville with stucco again. I had a lot of fun with my little team I worked with all day! There were five of us, and I think we did an awesome job. We were applying the PAB on the outside coronice (sp?) of the asssembly hall. I ended up staying at CRAH until 10 that evening, because I was hanging out with the Kim and Julie Davis while they were on security. (They take it very seriously- you can tell by Kim's face;-) Their assignment was from 4:30pm to 12:30am! So it was a very long, but fun filled day!

Stucco fun

Yesterday I worked on the Stucco crew again. Here are some pics of the people I worked with. I also went inside the auditorium and took a panoramic- It looks very different now! The studs for all the walls are going up. Progress!

Jenny's Visit

Last week my friend Jenny came to visit me from Idaho. When we get together, it is inevitable that sillyness happens. After her visit here she is going to Ireland to pioneer. Your visit was way too short, Jenny!

Lovin' the stucco

So far this week I have worked on the stucco crew. On Monday I was working with the PAB and yesterday I installed the durock. I also learned how to operate the boom lift! It is fun to learn to run the machinery on site. Jessica and I had fun taking "Crownsville's next top model" photos while waiting for our durock cuts:-)

Random videos

I think these are more humorous without any explanation:-)

what season is this?

This past week was a crazy one for weather. Last weekend we had snow, and by this weekend it was 74 degrees! Pretty crazy. At CRAH I worked with stucco the whole week installing Durarock. Here are a few pics including the snow on the roof.
